Alley still has a few "issues" as they say, but she is stuck back together. She's eating well, gaining weight, and feeling pretty good. For a long time she did NOT feel pretty good. Her whole body took a beating, not just her skin. We know she must have been thoroughly bruised inside and out, even though we didn't open her body cavity to look at things. Just as it took time for external tissue to die and slough off, it took time for bruised tissue internally to heal.
Here's a close-up of her suture line. When her hair grows back, the scar will hardly be noticeable. Of course, her tail is a lot shorter than it used to be, but she can live with that. It's really great to have a committed owner who is willing and able to give the patient the care she needs.
Yay, so good to get your updates! and see how kitty is doing. I can only imagine how "beat up" it's insides must have been, knowing how sore a human is when they fall off a ladder or get punched in the gut...yay, too, for that committed owner!
